The girl behind the blog

I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.
— Joan Didion

I’m Grace.  I’m a twenty-two-year-old writer currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in English in the great state of Ohio. I contribute to The Vindicator, Cleveland State University’s Arts and Culture Magazine. I previously served as their Copy Editor. I’ve interned for Cleveland Magazine and Literary Cleveland.

I’ve always had a love for language, in both written and spoken forms. I answer yes or no questions with stories. I have a lot to say, on and off the page. The creation of grace, uninterrupted resulted in my need for a space to articulate my thoughts that’s more public, but still conveys the intimacy of a conversation.

The things that happen to us belong to us, and as a writer I feel as though it’s my responsibility to immortalize my adventures and experiences. Even more so the things that inspire or challenge me to step out of my comfort zone in a way that best reflects what lives inside of my head, and my heart. That being said, all opinions found on this site are my own, unless stated otherwise.

When I’m not creating content for this blog, I’m most likely journaling, making lists in my planner, sharing too many Reductress articles on my Facebook page, or on a bus.

let's be friends

Do you think we have something in common? Have any good book (or wine) recommendations? Is there something you think I should write about?

Shoot me an email:  and check out some of my other work if you want.  Thanks for stopping by!
